On this course you will explore the skills needed to become an effective Learning Support Assistant in Secondary School, college and beyond. The course is provided by Herts Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS) in conjunction with Verulam School.
Topics will include:
- learning styles,
- supporting young people and adults in their learning,
- policies and getting a job
- gaining an insight into safeguarding issue
- examining typical duties associated with the role of LSA
- considering methods for managing challenging behaviour in the classroom.
The tutor will show you how to prepare a professional CV to apply for job roles as a LSA.
You will need a good level of conversational and written English to gain the most from this course.
