In this accessible course we shall be reading extraordinary ancient stories together in Latin and English. There will be a short weekly grammar feature.
This term, the aspect of Roman culture we shall be looking at will be some of the best-known Latin poems. We shall discover where quotes such as “carpe diem” come from.
Each week, we also find ourselves rambling through discussions about Classical mythology, history and art.
This class has been running for over a year but somebody who studied a little Latin at school would be able to catch up. Newcomers are very welcome in this friendly group. The class is not suitable for complete beginners at this point.
